HOME REPAIRS and BUILDING PERMITS

  • CECO’s Architectural Control Committee works closely with the Code Inspection and Enforcement Department of the City of Kenner in inspecting and approving certain renovations and building permits in the Chateau Estates area.  It is important to the success of your renovation that appropriate approval is obtained prior to the beginning of the project.

FENCES and LOT GRADE

  • Fences cannot be further forward than the front of the residence line.
  • No chain link OR plastic fences are allowed along the golf course.
  • Plans showing location and details of fences must be submitted first for approval to the CECO Architectural Control Committee before they are erected.
  • The grade of a lot cannot be raised so as to adversely affect an adjacent property.

SIGNS on PROPERTY

  • No signs of any kind shall be displayed to the public view on any FOR-SALE or FOR-RENT lot except one professional sign of not more than one square foot and/or one sign of not more than five square feet advertising the property for sale or rent, or signs used by a builder to advertise the property during the construction and sales period.

CHATEAU ESTATES RESIDENTIAL COVENANTS

These basic community Covenants were established many years ago by the Chateau Estates Civic Organization (CECO) in an effort to provide a set of community living
guidelines that would be acceptable within our residential communities in order
to both maintain property values while, at the same time, provide a basis though which all neighborhoods could share in quality-of-life enhancements.

As residents of the Chateau Estates area we are proud of our community and want to preserve its prestige.  Together, our community can ensure that attractive and picturesque neighborhoods are maintained. Those who moved into Chateau long ago have proven by their observance of these Covenants that idealistic neighborhood virtues are obtainable.

Your Civic Association needs your help. Please read and ask your family members to make every effort to adhere to the Chateau Estates Covenants as outlined.  Working together, Chateau property values can be secured.

A brief summary is attached of some of the most common Covenant questions. The CECO Restrictive Covenants have been established to provide enhancement to the quality of our neighborhoods.

AREA BEAUTIFICATION

The Chateau Estates Civic Organization (CECO) along with the Chateau Estates Garden Club share the expense of beautification of the subdivision’s nine intersection gardens and the Garden Club provides the virtual maintenance of these gardens.
